Cocktail a la Louisiane

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • 1 fluid ounce rye whiskey
  • 3/4 fluid ounce Benedictine® liqueur
  • 3/4 fluid ounce sweet vermouth
  • 3 dashes aromatic bitters (such as Peychaud's®)
  • 1 Maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Pour in whiskey, Benedictine, sweet vermouth, anise liqueur and bitters. Cover shaker and shake several times to combine.
  3. Stir well and strain into a cocktail glass; garnish with a cherry.
